What is

Lipolysis

Lipolysis injections, also known as injection lipolysis or lipolytic injections, are a non-surgical cosmetic procedure used to target and reduce small areas of stubborn fat. The purpose of these injections is to break down and dissolve fat cells in specific areas of the body, typically areas where traditional weight loss methods may not have been effective, such as under the chin, love handles, belly fat or thighs.

L-Carnitine and Deoxycholic Acid lipolysis injections are a combination treatment designed to target and reduce small pockets of fat in specific areas of the body.

L-Carnitine is an amino acid that is naturally synthesized in the body and plays a role in energy metabolism. It is involved in the transportation of fatty acids into the mitochondria, which are the energy-producing structures within cells. By facilitating the transport of fatty acids, L-Carnitine helps to promote the breakdown of fats and their subsequent conversion into energy. In the context of lipolysis injections, L-Carnitine is often used as a supplemental ingredient to support fat metabolism and enhance the effects of the treatment.

Deoxycholic Acid is a bile acid that is naturally produced in the body and aids in the digestion and absorption of dietary fats. It has the ability to disrupt the cell membranes of fat cells. When injected into targeted areas, such as beneath the chin or in the submental area, Deoxycholic Acid can cause the destruction and breakdown of fat cells. This process is known as adipocytolysis. Once the fat cells are broken down, the released fat is metabolized and eliminated by the body’s natural processes.

When combined, L-Carnitine and Deoxycholic Acid injections are believed to enhance the breakdown and elimination of fat cells in the treated area, leading to a reduction in localized fat deposits. These injections are typically performed in a series of treatment sessions, and multiple sessions may be required to achieve the desired results.

It’s important to note that while lipolysis injections can be an option for reducing localized fat deposits, they are not intended as a substitute for overall weight loss or as a solution for obesity. These injections are typically recommended for small, stubborn areas of fat that have not responded to diet and exercise.
