What is

PDRN Microneedling?

PDRN Microneedling skin treatment (also known as Salmon DNA which is similar to human DNA) is a procedure for skin rejuvenation. A pen-like device with tiny, fine micro needles is used to create controlled micro area of trauma in the skin. These micro-trauma stimulate the natural healing process of the skin, triggering the production of collagen and elastin.

During the procedure, the microneeding device is moved backward and forward across the skin, creating tiny punctures in the skin’s outer layer to promote the production of new collagen and elastin fibers, resulting in improved skin quality, texture, and firmness.
This treatment is recommended for treatment of wrinkles, fine line, pores, scars and improving skin tone and texture as well as stretch mark removal.

Most patients will have minimal redness that will subside in 2-4 hours. Some will persist for 24 hours. The next day, some will get peeling of flakiness of the skin. This is because the dermis of the skin is growing faster after being awaken by the micro pores. This effect will last for 2 days. The results will come after 2 weeks.
  • Do not go swimming for at least 24 hours post-treatment.
  • No exercise that causes sweating, Jacuzzi, sauna, or steam baths until the skin is healed.
  • Do not use makeup for 24 hours post- treatment.
  • It is important that you avoid direct sunlight for at least 1 week, and make using a sunscreen with at least SPF50 a long term part of your daily routine.
  • Patients with sensitivity to the sun should take extra precautions to guard against sun exposure following the procedure as they may be more sensitive following the treatment.
  • Your skin may be more red than usual for 2-3 days.
  • Apply a light moisturizer with sunscreen as often as needed to relieve dryness and tightness.
  • Do not have any other facial treatments for at least two weeks after your treatment.
